Steico secure SGB – Window Reveal Boards for Effective Splash Water Protection and Clean Plaster Finishes
Steico secure SGB boards are specifically developed for use in window reveals where splash water protection is essential. These high-performance reveal boards offer a thermal-bridge-free, plasterable solution and are fully compatible with Steico protect or Steico duo dry wood fiber insulation boards. The 40 mm thick boards feature a precise profiling that fits perfectly into the tongue-and-groove connection of the 60 mm Steico protect boards.
During installation, the boards are mounted onto a carrier plate with a sealing membrane and adhesive layer. This ensures a reliable, airtight, and water-resistant connection that complies with modern building physics. The window reveal boards conform to DIN EN 13163:2012 and fulfill all relevant standards.
With a thermal conductivity of 0.031 W/mK, they contribute significantly to reducing energy loss. The compressive strength of 150 kPa ensures mechanical stability. Additionally, the fire classification is E according to DIN EN 13501-1, providing a basic level of fire resistance.
The product dimensions – 260 mm reveal depth, and 310 mm / 290 mm height with a 5° slope – allow for a flexible fit with various window types. The product is delivered as a pair (left and right) for simplified logistics and installation. The waste disposal code (EAK / AVV) is 170604 / 170904.
